Control Volley - Individual Volley Drill

The Skill

This drill is all about improving your touch, control and passing ability. Whether you are taking the ball out from defence or taking a touch in the middle of the park. The ability to control the ball is critical and this drill will help you develop your technique.

The Drill

To start pass the ball into the Spot so that it comes back to you at knee height, then take a touch on your instep as if you were doing a keep-up. Then with the same foot pass the ball back into the rebounder and repeat. This is one of the hardest drills but to get to the PRO standard you need to learn to do this on your left foot and your right foot. As you master the skill move from the 1m to the 2m line and then the 3m line.

How many times can you do this without the ball hitting the ground? The target is 5 times on your right foot and 5 times on your left foot.
