Driven Long Pass - Individual Ball Striking Drill

The Skill

The driven pass is an advanced ball striking technique. This technique is used for a long and accurate pass. The ball is struck by the laces and by cutting under the ball you generate back spin.

The Drill

Start with the ball on the floor and strike the ball with your laces cutting under the ball so it generates back spin. Hit the ball into the Spot so it comes back within the coned area. Take a touch and move the ball so you can repeat the pass with your other foot. To complete the drill you need to be able to strike the ball so that it comes back within the coned area 5 times on your right foot and 5 times on your left foot. Start over if you miss or if the ball goes out of the coned area. As you improve move back to increase the difficulty until you can achieve the Pro target playing behind the 6m line.
