The half volley is a basic skill used for a pass or a shot. The aim is to make contact with the ball as it bounces. This means you can make the pass or the shot without having to control the ball first. This saves you valuable seconds in the game.
In this drill start by passing the ball into the spot so it bounces just in front of your feet. As the ball hits the floor pass it back into the rebounder with your instep. As it comes back to you alternate using your left foot and then your right foot to pass the ball back into the rebounder. See how many times you can do this in a row without losing control.
