Dummy - Individual Ball Control Drill

The Skill

The ability to fool your opponent allows you to find space on the pitch and beat a player. The dummy is all about looking as if you intend to do one thing but then do something different at the last second. There are hundreds of different dummies you can use in a game.

The Drill

To start pass the ball into the spot so the ball comes back to your feet. As the ball is in the air coming back to you fake to go left but at the last minute turn your body and move the ball to the right. Use either an instep or ouside turn to move the ball to the side and dribble through the three cones at the back. Now using your other foot pass the ball into the spot and repeat the drill going in the opposite direction. See how many times you can do this in a minute.
